| My friend told me about some televised poker tournament with Ivey and Madasow. It was on some strange network and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could see it again. It sounds great, with madasow and ivey at the same table. Thanks |

| MaTasow always says he is the best player their is, wether he actually believes it, or is just playing around as he does so much. Same with Sheikhan, they are smack talkers and they say they can beat anybody. The two of them are great players, and I do believe Matasow is one of the best. He seems to be having less blow-ups lately, which is clearly a sign of him getting better. Sheikhan is a new player to me, but with a semi-final finish in the NHUPC and an 11th place finish in the main event, I think they both deserve some bragging room. |

Madasow is for sure one of the best but between him and ivey, Ivey wins no contest. Hes a better tournament player and cash game player, and if you ask any of the pros, I bet they would tell you the same thing. Also, I like your quotes on the bottom |

I'm gonna have to come "over the top" of you on your spelling correction. It's actually, "Matusow". And "their" should be "there". And "wether" should be "whether". I'm giving you extra credit for Sheikhan's name though.
I doubt Ivey or Matusow is better than the other.

Matusow was going off on Ivey during one of the Circuit's broadcasts. Apparently Howard Lederer told Mike to forget about Ivey. The Professor told Mouth that Ivey was a mutant and had this uncanny ability to beat anyone, anygame, anytime, anywhere.
Mike then said that Ivey has a horseshoe embedded in his *** and hasnt' lost a pot in 5 years. It was a hilarious broadcast. |

| I think if anyone, Mike could get under Phil Ivey's skin and get him tilted, while Phils a better player... Mike has a technique to tilt. |

Thanks. You see, even though I corrected your spelling, you likely recognized two things: 1. It's the internet, so you take it with a grain of salt; and 2. I was attempting to be amusing and it wasn't a personal attack on you. (I should have used a smiley, I suppose.)
This guy (HollowTippedBet), with his three posts, stated his opinion about Ivey/Matusow. Then I stated mine. Then, he goes for blood.
HollowTippedBet, you have to pace yourself on these boards, and on the internet in general. Don't go right for the jugular, try taking a few light slashes or jabs first. If you overcommit your resources, it's actually you that ends up coming across as the fool.
If I were you, (God forbid), I might have said this:
"I see you've been around these forums for at least 140 posts, and it's obvious you know how to spell Madasow's name, but do you follow poker? I realize that consensus opinion and fanaticism aren't fact, but it is generally accepted that Ivey is better than most players, including Madasow. There are even facts to support this statement, such as tournament results and ring game statistics. Why is it you 'doubt' that either of them is better than the other?"
To which I might reply:
"Good question. As it happens, my opinion is that Ivey is the better player, though they are both very talented.
However, when it comes to rating them by results, if you don't have all the information on every game they've ever played, you can't really 'know' who is better, (beyond opinion or belief). Additionally, if you were to face them off against each other in 1,000 or even 10,000 games, it would probably come down to cards, since they are both so skilled. It might come down to which player simply had the slight edge over the other than given day."
And you might respond:
"You have your opinions and I have mine. I see some of your points, but of course, Ivey's my man."
And I might say:
"I hope you and Mr. Ivey will be very happy together. I'm glad we could intelligently debate this subject."
And you might say:
"Well, I'm not gay. I meant that I am a fan of his. However, I understand how you might get that out of what I said. Haha, that's funny."
And I might say:
"No problem. My apologies for my misconception."
And you might say:
"Oh. I'm sorry to hear you lost the baby."
...
*sigh* The phrase, "That's poker", is a lot like the phrase, "It's the internet".

I think we all know who the loser is here. You obviously have too much time on your hands, and u are all acting like a bunch of beotches. LOL, I was going for the jugular? Wtf? I dont go on a physics website and act like I can disprove Einstien, you shouldnt go on a poker website and pretend like you know what your talking about. Telling me that Madasow is better than Ivey is the equivilant of saying that Albert Einstien created his theroys by sexually molesting an owl. |

I know.
In my first paragraph I was actually thanking you for commenting on his discourteous post. (My apologies if it came off as sarcastic -- it was not meant that way.) I was also making a comparison of his reaction and yours by complimenting you on the fact that you didn't take offense at my correcting your spelling. As opposed to his reaction to my seeming to have a different opinion than his
