|
|
With the new event at this years WSOP and the popularity of the game for high stakes pros, I think it is time FTP considered opening a slew of live ring cash games in the Horse format.
As FTP is brainy enough to offer razz (which is reasonably popular here) and FTP is one of the most popular sites due to the high standard of poker and the opportunity to learn, Horse cash games I believe would be popular (and by the way, extremely fruitful in profitability and learning)
The arguement that players would sit out their weak games doesn't really hold as they would get booted from game to game within five minutes.
I strongly believe Horse cash games will attract new customers to Full Tilt and players who want to do one thing, play Horse. Most of these players are there to play all five games, so I don't think the games will get short.
What do you tilters and pros think about small, medium and high Horse ring games at our favourite site??[/u][/b] |

I would love to see HORSE cash games.
I've never really been convinced that people sitting out would be a big problem, and I'd like to see Full Tilt try it without just writing it off before experimenting a little. |

why doesnt FTP do this? from FTP point of view, who gives a flying pig if people sit out, or people come and leave, theres still a rake going on lets give it a try, i would put more money back here if they did. |

| Amen to all of the above, and there should be HORSE SNGs as well. The WSOP has had the good sense to put in a HORSE tourney with a high buy-in (ie a tournament that is made to favor the pros, so we see the best player win instead of the NLHE player who was the hottest for 2 weeks.) FTP should follow suit by having a more extensive choice of HORSE play. |

| HORSE sit n' go's are already available. I've played 3 times and cashed once, but they are really much more exciting (and difficult) than just one game at a time. HORSE cash games would be terrific in my opinion. As for people sitting out during their weak games, maybe FT could lower the boot time to like 2 or 3 minutes. I don't really think it should be a problem though. All in all, HORSE for cash would be great. |

no, people would just sit out in games they dont like etc.. it would make the games 4-5 handed all the time..
why not just play a holdem game for a while? close it go to razz, close that go to stud.. etc.. kinda dumb, but it wouldnt work for the sitting outs.. |

People keep saying that without actually producing any evidence to show that it would happen. It's just conjecture. I think FT should give it a go and see what happens. |

These people would be losing in the end. If you are a very good (or better) Limit HE player, who can play O8, Stud and Stud 8 well, but you stink at Razz, and you typically multitable up to X number of tables (X being your optimal amount), then you would be costing yourself money in the long run by sitting out every 10 minutes at one table, decreasing your expectation and your hourly rate. In other words, it really wouldn't be worth it for you to be at the table and limit yourself to playing only 83% of the game.
Your 'why not' suggestion is not reasonable. One of the benefits of cash play is getting to play with the same people for a long time, studying their play and trying to exploit weaknesses. If you're constantly moving tables, you lose this benefit. |

Here's an idea to everyone that thinks people will sit out rounds....
Lower the amount of time you can sit out before being booted.
If rounds are 10 minutes long, after 5 minutes of sitting out, you get booted if anyone is on the waiting list. If you still want to play after that, then you'll have to rejoin the waiting list.
Just an idea |

| HORSE cash games need to be added and are the next logical step .. i havn't been here for a while (the forum) but if this site had horse cash games and a-5 and 2-7 triple draw i would never leave this site. also i am on a few other poker forums and i know multiple people who play here almost soleley for the horse games. adding horse sngs and multi table tourneys has helped bring players here and i bleieve horse cash games would be a GREAT idea. thank you and have a nice day. |
