I was playing HORSE last night and noticed that the cards in the Last Hand box did not correspond to the order they were dealt to me. Somebody was screaming at me for catching my hand on 7th street when I had made it in 5 cards. I went to Last Hand and it showed the Ace Duece in 6th and 7th. The Ace Duece were my first two cards, not my last two. Anyone else notice this? Does it matter? It would be nice to see the actual progression of the hand to help understand the opponent.

This is to mimick real life play, where players shuffle their down cards before showing them, so that nobody knows when you caught. I personally approve of this.

Tak, I agree, it should show the real progression. The Last Hand function is there to study the play and learn about the hand so you can become a better player. I've personally never noticed this, I usually use the hand histories in my hard drive rather than the Last Hand button. If they aren't putting the cards in the order in which they were received, then Full Tilt should fix this. Not so you could say 'I told you so' when someone accused you of chasing, but to improve the overall educational aspect of the site for all involved.
In a flop game they wouldn't change the order of the board, putting the river card in with two of the flop cards and the turn card at the end, so they shouldn't change the order in which you received your hole cards in a Stud game, which is crucial to studying your play. |

This isn't a poker education site, it is a poker site. The only reason there is even a last hand window is because under the rules of poker, anyone at the table can see a hand that goes to showdown - there is no rule that says you can't mix up your down cards in stud.

Indeed, Cad. The HH isn't there for you to learn, it's there to mimick real life. The closer to real life rules it comes, the better - otherwise it would show you all the odds at every point in the hand, and give you a running summary of what the other guy may have, too. You gotta figure that stuff out for yourself. You want an education, read a book. I can suggest plenty.
