What do you think about how I played this hand? The only points really are the fold pre-flop or check/fold the flop. I put him on a hand like K-9 but I guess I was wrong

I would fold PF. There is no reason to call here, you are usually just going to be spewing chips. Otherwise I think you played it fine.

Exactly... you don't get into coolers like this when you get them in the muck. How often have you seen some poor guy (or girl) get to a flop for free on their BB, hit trips or something like that, and find themselves running into the legitimate hand that flopped a boat? That's why hand selection is so important... the more hands you play, the more likely you are to run into situations where you improve your hand but are second best.

IMHO, fold pre-flop, no reason to get mixed up at this point.
