I just picked up hold 'em poker for advanced players, a lot of people recommended that for limit hold 'em but wouldn't you say that a lot of what sklansky has to say can apply in nl as well? Anybody think no i would love to hear. Thank you.

While much of the information does apply, much of it applies only to limit. For example, protecting your hand by not betting on the flop, waiting instead for the bigger bet on the turn to avoid giving your opponents the proper odds to chase. In no limit, you can avoid this problem by betting enough on the flop that they do not have odds to chase. Also, moves that are a small mistake in limit, like calling a raise with the second best hand (such as a K high flush vs A high, etc) will be a small mistake, worth only one big bet, while in NL, it can be a disasterous mistake, so much of what sklansky talks about (where calling is a small mistake but folding is a massive one that loses you the pot) may not apply to no limit, as the mistake of calling can be disasterous also.
