| for example say you hold ako and the flop comes out k77 and you know there is a chance someone has the other 7 or even a boat.say that you are playing this situation in late position and someone raises to you.how would i go about about acting on this.in most circumstances i would attempt to reraise but if someone calls or even reraises me again i would nine times out of ten drop this hand the next opportunity i have.i was wondering if i was playing this right, or if anyone has another method for this situation that can in the long run save me money. |

I have read quite a few books and they all seem to bring this up. Hellmuth Jr. says that if you have any sort of hand you should almost always bet on the flop to check your position and see where everyone else is at. It always takes a little bit of reading though.
If I had the kings there and someone reraises me who has been playing loosely, I think I might put them at a high pocket pair, trying to ride out their two pair.
It all depends on who the other player is. |
