Based on the way the betting went, you have ATxx, and jasjake limped in with a high pocket pair (my guess would be AAxx.) Low cards are pretty irrelevant in this case.

The fact that he wins means that you didn't split the hand, so it wasn't a case of both of you having AT. If you had just a T, I don't think you'd be capping the flop. If you had AA (meaning he'd have to have TT,) I don't think you'd slow down on the turn and I doubt you'd just check/call the river with the second best hand. If you did, you would be losing profit at these stakes. I'm thinking you had AT and capped it because only one hand can beat you. However on the turn when he still kept raising you, you got the idea that maybe he did limp in AA, and slowed down a bunch.

I don't think these people are smart enough. Our hero had AT alright, but why do I think the other guy had either QQ or KK and played this hand like a complete donkey?
