Because of the increased number of decisions involved in a limit game like skill should play a bigger roll, the luck should even out . Getting deep whcih the better players have an advantage will result in more cashes. understanding positon can also help as it will help you decide whether to take risks to steal . Know how to do this and how and when to proceed are paramount to increasing you luck. (haha)

P.S I sure feel like i get unlucky alot. Especially when agressive and called

That was implied, since there was already a post about it in front of mine.

I know that no one has posted here for a very long time, I'm posting anyway. (Strasse will probably throw a fit for this) But to everyone who is saying "what do you mean there is more luck in razz" I don't think you understand his point. In razz, the luck is the same as holdem. But how much luck plays a part in the game is another story. If you get unlucky in NL holdem, your tournament is over for you if you were all in. In razz, on the the other hand, if you get unlucky you won't lose all your chips due to two factors; it's limit, and you know that the other player got lucky and you didn't. Like he says, in holdem, you don't know who is ahead. Not to say you do in Razz, either, but in Razz you can make a much better estimate because of all the knowns.

Well you have a point, I had seen razz being played once on tv but thought nothing of it, but a year ago I started playing razz and immediately started doing goods because I saw other peoples mistakes and capitalized by seeing there betting patterns. I agree

I just think it's funny when someone who hasn't played Razz before gets so upset when their full house gets beat by A 2 3 4 6

LOL

If you think of it the game is pretty easy if you just analyze it and learn by watching other players and watch their mistakes.

How do you know just by watching if a play is a mistake? Granted when someone showing (xx)KQ5 raises it's usually a mistake, but you'd already have to be pretty close to expert to notice the more subtle ones.

To me Razz is much easier to win, ive been doing well considering my holdem attempts. in HORSE i seem to go alright, and noticed that the times im picking up most chips is always in RAZZ. which i just won my first horse mtt with a razz hand a cple hrs ago.

i feel more like people are not used to it, because its so easy to pickup and play. even on the very rare chance your bluffed or sucked out on, you can basically see whats going on, and work it out.

being a solid razz player seems like an easy way to make money. i feel like a fish on the holdem tables after 2yrs of playing many different sites, but a few weeks at razz and ive never played more solid at a game. Give it a few more weeks and im sure i'll be a fish there too Smile

Neway razz rocks.
ps, are there any fulltime razz only pro's ?
