It appears that this problem is due to people registering 45 minutes to an hour before a Freeroll and then becoming involvled in something else.
The simple way around this is to change tournament registration and start times. As an example a 2700 player freeroll with a registration time of 15:00 and a start time of 1600 could be changed so that the registration opening at 15:40. Afterall this is the chance for monopoly money players o get cash into their account. |

| If ftp would limit the freerolls to actual cash players I believe that this would eliminate some of these people that play and never fund the account. FTP should have freerolls for the non cash players only. |

Not true, Ultimatebet has done this for years. |

Limiting the FR to "cash players" defeats the purpose of the FR. On top of that there are already FRs that "reward" those who have deposited. |

I especially hate people in freerolls (for example the Freeroll to the Daily Dollar in which the top 200 players get the $1 entry) that think they will lose if they fold, and they act like they're sitting out, waiting for 15 seconds then pushing the TIME button for another 20 seconds, making a hand last around 4-5 minutes.
If you have around 4000-5000 chips when there are around 250 players left in that tournament, if you fold every hand you cannot lose (because the smaller stacks will surely get killed by the blinds and the ante), so it doesn't make any sense to me that any player with a bigger stack (which is usually the case) to intentionally delay every hand.
I have no problem with people sitting out (because there's no TIME involved, so you just wait 15 seconds and then they automatically fold), but people who don't play intentionally and delay every hand to the point you want to hospitalize them are a big problem.
FTP should add new rules about this. |

Actually slow playing (time wise) is a legit strategy. The only way to speed up the game is make it a super turbo, or reduce the clock. I personally think that the 90 (I believe that's what it is for discos) seconds is outrageous, but I have broadband with few issues. Not everyone is that fortunate.
As for folding to a win, that is wrong. It assumes that all of the small stacks will not pick up any chips. If everyone is folding to a win, this is not going to happen.
The rules say you have so many seconds. I find it funny that people **** about people using them.
Oh and some people do have slow connections, and ARE NOT slowing the play intentionally. |

| Easiest Solution is put a Timer: So when you sitout a 5 min timer begins...after 5 min if you do not play the following hand (fold automatically) you are removed from the table. |

| There should not be a solution to this. Imagine if you came back 7 mins later, you deserve a right to play it out. This is the price you play for playing in a huge freeroll HU MTT. Will this happen in cash sats? Most likely not, and thats the way it's going to be. Plus, you want to play people sitting out in later rounds, why would you want to have them removed to play a live person? Can you not see that playing a person who's sitting out is an advantage to you. Imagine if all these people were kicked, they would not advance and therefore it would greatly increase the competition UNNECCESSARILY SO, in these freerolls. This is absolutely the DUMBEST forum topic I have ever seen. btw ULTIMATE BET IS TERRIBLE - I cant tell you how many times I started off some freeroll taking a crap, and I got back 2 mins into a HUGE TOURNAMENT (freeroll that is) only to see I had been "knocked out". So maybe you should stick to ultimate bet. I hope Full Tilt never changes this and somebody should close this topic. |
