| It is probably pretty marginal. I probably would have folded like you did, but I don't think calling with hopes of stacking him on a good flop is a bad play either. |

1st thing that pops out to me is the result oriented thinking(imo) because you would've flopped the nuts. Realistically, flop on is irrelevant.
That said, I'll regularly call or reraise IP with a hand like this. If deep enough, I reraise more often to get HU. If CO doesn't raise often at all, he's pretty much playing his hand face up and you can play postflop accordingly. |

Well the Oh MY was certainly because of the result, but the question remains do you call or raise in position with a marginal KK. I certianly reraise a KKAx where A is a 2 or 3, and I'd like somethin suited, but as you say he's playing his hand face up, and by doing so, isn't it spew for me to call with players to act having a second best high only hand? |

| Good set mining opportunity. If reraised again pre fold it and if it gets that far, fold the flop if you miss. |

Not necessarily spewy because you know what he has(often atleast) and have position on him and he has only a small idea of your range, if he's even thinking ranges. There are alot of flops that he'll have a very difficult time leading into or to c/c on. Couple that with set/flush value and 7 low draw and you should be able to play it profitably.
Note, everything is player dependant. |
