Hi all. Think the FTP Academy is a GREAT idea. Reward people who are trying 2 LEARN more about the game. I'm pretty dedicated to accumulating academy points (for FT gear) and improving my game (obvious reasons). Challenges are great, does FT bring out new ones on a regular basis? Can we get ones for Horse and Razz as those r 2 of my fav formats (don't think there are enough players trying them either, always 0/9 or 1/9). Did some of the sit'n'learns and didn't do 2 bad, but didn't bother 2 play in any of the freerolls. Is it worth it, how were they quality wise? It was great to watch FT pro's play live online to c that their experience on FT is not so diff 2 mine (bigger screen excl). Still new to FT, been playing cash only about 2 months, but am doing well. Up from $80 in total deposits (2) to current BR of $300. Did however loose $50 tonight on around 8 sit and gos (not 1 cash). Gets me down abit (yes I know, variance) especially when I play a hand well and some sick 2 outer on the river sinks me. When it happens repeatedly in 1 session it does my head in a bit. I, like a lot of players, have a prob with walking away when im in the red. Not sure if it's a pride thing or just being stubborn. Either way NOT GOOD. Would b nice 2 speak 2 other Academy students and get some feedback. Academy instructors with spare time could also maybe drop us dedicated Academy students some 1 on 1 tips. That would b soooo cool (tho prob not feasible). Any way c u all at the tables and gl. Very Happy

Replying 2 myself. 1st sign of insanity, lol. Just wanted to add that i'm trying REAL hard not to lose my cool at the tables when I get outdrawn and crushed. Repeatedly. Having some success but have a loooong way 2 go b4 I am one of those cool people (who I admire greatly) that just shrugs it off with out a prob. Hope it will come with experience and sincere regrets for any lapses. Have other students used their academy creds to get gear? If so how was it? I have enough for a T-shirt but would rather save'em up for a jacket or hoodie. Is the quality good? What were the challenges u guys accumulated pts fastest with, enjoyed the most, struggled most with and has anyone actually completed them all 10 times each? Seems we get a better deal on gear than non-academy plyrs as FTPs accumulate much slower. Why wouldn't more people join? Anyway, gl and c u all at the tables.

How sick was that flush on the river, but phillips had an incredible run. Funny thing was I thought his result in 2008 was a bit of a fluke. Obv not. And thx for the welcome. I know BBeats happen, I think with more experience at FT I will come to accept the bigger picture in light of overall results (I hope). Lov Poker so dealing with the ups and downs is par for the course.
