Daniel said on the FCP forums that he knows who the girl is, and everyone loves her. This likely rules out Vanessa. He also said that Gabe Kaplan will be handling all the commentary. |

According to PokerNewsDaily.com, Vanessa Rousso will not be the new co-host of "High Stakes Poker".
When A.J. Benza announced earlier this week that he had been replaced by a "chick" for the sixth season of "High Stakes Poker", many people thought that the new co-host would be Vanessa Rousso.
According to Daniel Negreanu, "Gabe will be doing the commentary alone, but there will be a female addition to the crew, not for strategy discussion, and you all know her and everyone likes her." Source: Full Contact Poker
Based on this tidbit of information from Negreanu, I'd say that Amanda Leatherman and Shana Hiatt seem like strong possibilities.
We should find out the identity of the new co-host later this week.
Hmm... seems odd to have one commentator, but then again Ali Nejad does a nice job on PAD, imo.
And I would not mind seeing more of Shana Hiatt... I guess she's to poker like Erin Andrews is to ESPN. |
yeah but no one has filmed he naked in her hotel room yet. |

thats a pretty bad photoshop of roussou in a bikini.
and i was never a fan of AJBenza, but i dunno about messin around with the best poker show on TV...seems risky. hopefully GSN doesnt fok this all up. |

From that, I wonder if he's "revealing" that a lot of the wise-cracking was scripted? Or possibly Gabe improvising, and then the show producers (/writers?) getting AJ to play the straight man to Gabe's wit?
Still rocked, though, even if not all improvised... And to think it was a ratings hit for 5 straight seasons, I guess the GSN networks execs have been infected with the "FOX" virus? "If ain't broken ... well, enough years have passed so let's break it anyway" ??
