Hi. I'm just interested in how many points the rest of you have earned. I just started the challenges about a week ago and have just under 600. After seeing the store, I'm curious how some of you got such high totals and how long it took. I'm wondering if some of the items are attainable. Any advice how you got points quickly, I mean I know we all have different strengths and weaknesses and what works for you may not work for me...but please share?
Thanks. |

I started on FT 4 or 5 years ago and have played off and on here (mostly on) since then. Just this past weekend, I reached 25,000 points, enough to get a jersey. It took me a really long time because up until probably the last 6 months, I was pretty much exclusively a SNG player, and I just didn't put in the volume to accumulate a lot of points. Now I play almost all cash games, so they add up a lot quicker. The double and triple point happy hours help too.
Unless you are playing levels where you can really rake in the FTP's, you should treat it as a bonus that you need to patiently wait to grow until you have enough to buy something that you want. You shouldn't play just to earn points... However, if you are looking to earn them quickly, I would recommend the low stakes CAP games. Almost every hand gets capped, so the max rake is taken out of every hand. This weekend I was able to earn my last 100 points to get to the 25K by sitting at a $4 CAP PLO 9 handed table where 6 or 7 of the players were capping every hand pre. Triple point happy hour was going on, so I was earning ~4.5 points per hand. It took about 30 hands to earn 100 points. I just kept folding. It cost me about 70 cents in blinds. This of course is not ideal, and you shouldn't do this regularly, but since I was closing in on my jersey that I had wanted for so long, I was willing to make the sacrifice... |

I converted today 5k points for a $26 token and have about 600 left.
CF´s preflop challange is easiest (if you play cash games).... |

Even that it's a good post, I think the OP was referring to Academy Points. |

| I have about 4000 academy credits and I have earned it mostly by C.F. Pre-flop play challenge. |

| I have about 8000 currently, but then not been working excessive hard on it either. Been doing the challenges since they started the FT academy (well few days after it started), and so I think the points are quite easy to accumulate. When combined with FTP and Iron man medals it's nice the amount of free stuff you can get really now. |

Yeah i'm at about 7500 pts and don't really plan on accumulating too many more. I'm not big on SnGs so many of the challenges don't interest me, and the others that i haven't done for cash games are too hard for the points you get. The 5 holdem leaks and the CF preflop play i think were the two easiest so those were the ones i did.
The Jen Harmon one is ok and is well worth the points, but a lot of those plays are harder to pull off at the lower levels. |

| i just do the challenges because they're fun. jen harman sizing up your opponents is the most fun but took the longest to complete. i have about 1,800 points and want to get to 5,000 eventually for the token or to convert to 5,000 ftp to get something from that store. |

right now my bankroll is about $185 so I'm still playing the .02/.05 cent tables until I hit $200. I've been doing the jen harmen challenge but the one I keep getting stuck on is the first one where you have to reraise a preflop raiser and get him to fold.
At the stakes I play, there's very little preflop raising, and if there is a raise the guy who raised is pretty happy with his hand and so he's almost always going to call any reraise. Any pointers on what type of table I could easily do a reraise preflop and get a fold? |

| So to get points you have to complete challenges, but my question is how do you get over 1600 ? unless you can re-complete challenges for points ? |
