Shove preflop and be way happy about it. AJ with an M of < 5 is HUGE.

Anything but shoving preflop is bad imo.

yes this is what they are saying. just get it allin pf and be happy. by not going allin pf you put yourself in a situation where you have missed and dont know what to do. get it all in pf and your opponents will have to make the tough decisions

Yes. Once you raise at all M < 5, then your committed to the hand. So get all your chips in preflop if you're going to play at all.

I agree with what everyone has said, either shove pre or fold, but it seems to me that the Ms got screwed up somehow, it says blinds of 200/400 and hero has a stack of almost 5,000, i looked at other stacks and they seem wrong as well if you have an m more like 11, which is what i calculated, then I fold pre here I don't like shoving double digit big blinds with AJ UTG

Wat? The pot is 200+400+(9*50)=1050, and hero's stack is about 5000, so the M calculations are definitely correct.

M is not number of BB's left. M is how many orbits you will survive if you played no hands. it takes into account the price for a full orbit (ie - BB, SB, and antes x no of people at table). this gives a more accurate view of how you stand. any M<10 is short-stacked, and an M<5 is critical. your M is 5-ish, so shoving is the only option
