I want to see how often the best starting hand ends up losing in a tournament if the player has fewer chips than the "worst" starting hand. It seems like recently, that is happening more than the "random" amount.

Well if the tournament plays out in around 400-500 hands, that's not nearly enough information to display accurate percentages. And poker has many factors in play.

Today I won 2 3 against A K, 8 8 against A A (quads vs. full house), and some other weird ones I can't remember out of the ~ 500 hands I played today.
Having quads in 500 hands is weird according to the odds (which state that quads should come once every 4,164 hands), not to mention that I haven't played all the hands to the river.

So even if you analyze all your hands or all the hands and you see some kind of pattern, it won't be relevant, because there is a real chance that the best hand preflop or even on the flop will lose (even 1% or 0.5% is enough to win).

I've lost 3 out of 5 hands with A A, and 19 out of 20 with A Q (which I made a rule not to play ever again).
Are my losses normal in the "random" amount ?

My opinion is this: If you lose while you have 100% chance of winning, then you can go crazy and burn buildings down, but as long as you don't have 100% winning chance, you CAN and if you're unlucky enough probably WILL lose.
