| looks standard to me but i would 3-bet the flop and lead the turn. and no, i'm not slowing down at any point in this hand. |

If I 3bet the flop don't I just force hands that I want to call out?
I think overs may call 1 bet but not 2 bets. |

as played, on the flop you got one fold & one extra bet from the CO. if you raise, you prob get the CO to fold but you get an extra bet from the BTN. of course you don't get to c/r the turn but you still get max bets in on the river.
i suggest 3-betting the flop not because it would have earned you more bets in this particular hand, but because you are out of position and you really want to get as many bets in as possible. if your opponent had three 8s he might not like third heart on the turn and check behind. since you have to go first you may as well make sure that bet goes in. |

So should I just bet/3bet the flop seeing as how I don't know if this board will be raised oop or should I c/r this flop?
If I was in position would you like my line more?
Also, I think a hand like 66-77, 99-TT is more likely here then a 8.
Seeing as how other players hand will have so few outs I don't mind them seeing a turn card for cheap. |

i dont like to raise preflop in this spot personally. chances are i will hate most flops and even if i flop good a lot of donks will peel a card for one small bet, and im oop. c/r on the flop is optimal and chances are the CO will call the extra small bets anyway. you're not raising to protect your hand, your'e raising to get value. just play it straightforward most of the time and occasionally throw a wrinkle in there to confuse them.
in position this is not even a question of what to do on the turn. you either bet or raise. so yes, i don't mind flat calling on the flop occasionally if you feel your opponents are getting a feel for your play. against unknowns however, i just raise it. |

Raising pre from the BB with lots of bad limpers is really profitable in most spots, because a raise builds the pot so that when you do flop a set, you will win a much larger pot. If you don't flop anything, you can easily c/f. |

| i see your point and i could see doing it occasionally to mix up your play, but as a default i think checking is the lower variance play. |

| Depending on the amount of limpers I usually check/limp 22-66 and almost always raise 77-AA in this situation. |

That's why we have a sufficient bankroll. There's a difference between EV and variance. |

i will call a raise in this spot with 5-5 but i don't raise it myself.
i'm curious enough now to run some calculations on how +EV this play is depending on the number of limpers. |

Also I am greatly more likely to raise these hands if I am in position as that will allow me to extract maximum value from it opposed to OOP. |
