Hi all,
Long time no post. After having just returned to poker after a 12 month hiatus, I have started playing alot of PL Omaha. Now I know that it would be impossible to find a list of good starting hands, given that the game seems to rely alot more on post flop play, so I am wondering what good books someone could recommend to a relative beginner to Omaha?
Thanks in advance

| I believe Super System and Hellmuth's Book have sections on Omaha. |

Great PLO book... Doesn't give starting hands, but gives good starting hand structures. The only book on PLO I've read, and even though it hasn't been out very long, I'm pretty sure it's considered the best one out there right now. If it isn't, I'd love to hear more suggestions. |

Thanks alot junk - had a look at the preview and it is exactly what I am after. I actually took advantage of the three book offer, and bought all of them....now just gotta wait for postage to aussie and then read them to post thoughts. Much appreciated.

| Card Runners has some great videos, as far as books go I've only read the section in Super System. |

I haven't read a spectacular book on the subject yet, but Super System 2 has a good section on it as well as many other games. Definitely worth getting if you don't have it already.
Farha on Omaha is pretty good as well, although I don't usually play nearly as loose as Sammy does.
Championship Omaha by T.J. Cloutier is fairly weak IMO as far as strategy goes. He'll have you playing way too tight, but he does have great advice on staying out of traps and marginal situations. T.J.'s books are fantastic reads though. You'll feel like you're right there with him. He's an excellent storyteller. |

This has good chapters on limit and PL O8 as well. Definitely worth the read. |
