I think I'm a pretty decent cash game stud player, but I've been thinking about playing some tournaments.
Whats the difference in strategies used in tournament play ? (if any) ?
Also, any good books about tournament play ?
(just stud hi, never had a taste for hi/low split pot stuff) |

I don't play many tournies, but there is definately a different approach you need to take. Cut some of the weaker drawing hands out altogether, and if you fail to hit on 4th w/ a draw hand, you should never be peeling another card on 5th. As far as books go, I'm not sure, I've heard the full tilt strategy guide is decent for stud. |

| As far as stud tournies go, play your normal style in the early levels and play a little tighter as the antes go up and the bubble increases, but not significantly so. For what its worth, the lower level stud tourney players seem to be much weaker than the cash game players IMO. GL. |
