UTG+1: t7310 M = 40.61
UTG+2: t22755 M = 126.42
MP1: t8300 M = 46.11
MP2: t5140 M = 28.56
CO: t5063 M = 28.13
BTN: t3560 M = 19.78
Hero (SB): t10563 M = 58.68
BB: t8678 M = 48.21
Pre Flop: (t180) Hero is SB with K  A 
UTG raises to t360, 2 folds, MP1 calls t360, 3 folds, Hero raises to t1250, 1 fold, UTG calls t890, MP1 raises to t5120, What does hero do here??
Play chippies, you know the drill
Unfortunately no reads, just switched to this table and only got to play 1 hand with these guys before the AK
I reraise mostly for information here rather than for the fact that I have a great hand. UTG just calls, like I expected, but what I didn't expect is MP1 to 4bet me
What would you do in this spot? |

i'd jam and get called by AQ.
seriously though - no person playing play chippies is good enough to induce a squeeze. more often that not when this has happened the dude who flats then 4-bets turns up with AQ or AJ. theres alot of dead money in the pot so be happy about getting it in. |

| I think with the origianl bet being a minbet, and a flatter you should pop it to like 1500+ here and call any shoves- 5bet jam any reraise. |

The main issue I had with this hand was if one or both of them had a pocket pair. I agree with you bleffo that MP1 could have AQ or AJ, or any ace for that matter, but people in play chips who do things like this could also have a pocket pair, in which case I'd be flipping. I don't want to be flipping this early in the tournament. To top it off, I don't even know what UTG is gonna do. He could have a pocket pair too. Raising UTG and flatting a 3-bet gave me the impression that he had 77-TT, somewhere along those lines.
This is why AK is my least favorite playable hand, I find it so difficult to play. -.- |

yer you could well be flipping. but because of all the dead money in the pot you're getting great odds to shove. this has the added effect for all the times when you're actually NOT flipping and have villain's AQ crushed.
plus, you have to win flips to win tourneys. simple as that. i hate going broke with AK in the early stages as much as anyone, but if i'm getting the right price to do so, then it's pretty much -EV to not take that chance. |
