Nice job cardplayer! I started trying to grind up from $100 a few months ago and I've been stuck between $500-$600. Haven't had much time to play lately, but I used my trulyfreetraining to watch some HU SnG vids and I'll be trying those out for the next couple weeks (stox is awesome!). Keep up the good work and keep us posted. Smile

Thanks everyone. I don't want to give the wrong impression that i've been on some massive heater. The truth is without bonus' i'd only have about $50 right now. I've actually lost money doing the "challenge testing" but it still works out to be +EV because the bonus' make up for it. Anyway I like my book and imediately went from a losing SNG player to break even and i'm still not though with the book yet. There's alot to learn still. I really like stoxpoker and think i'll stay there for a while. I got $200 in the biggest bonus to work off but haven't started it yet. I'll start sometime this week with that. I'll need 3333FTPs and that's a lot at 2nl. Anyway the BR is at $701.95, 12.9k FTPs and 20.5k AP but will be playing alot more soon enough. Probably a couple days after my free week of stoxpoker is over. Till next week.

$738.99, T$1.20, 13,519.52 FTPs, 23,527 APs, 12,988,435 playchips. I just signed on for my biggest bonus of $200 and only have earned about $15 of it so far. I want to try to earn the whole $200 but is doesn't look likely at my current stakes(2nl and $2.25 SNGs). But I've had some success at these stakes and if it continues maybe I'll be able to move up in stakes. That would mean i'd have to win another $80 in 2nl. Not sure how much I'd need to move upto $5.25 SNGs. I'll have to look for some BR tips for SNGs. I think i'd need around 50 buyins at the next level. Which would be $262.50 if you take $112.50(50 $2.25 buyins) from that I figure I'd need to win $150 at the $2.25 SNG level to move up. I already won close to $60 so I need to win about $90 more. And no I didn't get rake back. I may sent some more e-mail off soon. Well until next week.

Which SNGs are you playing?
You really dont need 50 buyins if your playing the 1 table unless you are playing the super turbos.
20-25 should be fine for these. The 5 tables probally need 40.
But its your BR play where you feel comfortable.

$1,034.50, $0t, 14,163.14FTPs, 26,166APs, 12,688,435 playchips. I released $40 of $200 of the big bonus ever. I haven't keep up the frantic pace to get the rest. Oh ya I GOT RAKEBACK. Just when I was ready to purchase stoxpoker.com for 3 months. I will be getting a free week of cardrunners next month. Then I'll see witch one i'll buy. Anyways till next week.

-- thanks sandwedge i'll think i'll move up this week.

I've been trying to work my way up in stakes by winning enough for the next level. I've made enough to play 5nl a few times but seem to get crushed there. So instead of staying there I moved back down and try to see where I've gone wrong. Now I figure I need to win another $80 at 2nl to try 5nl again. I'm also doing challenges there too.

$1,036.34, 3T$, 13,886.53FTPs, 27,206APs, 12,544,310 playchips. A little downswing this week. Variance i'd like to call it but it was simply bad play. Yes there were a few bad beats in there some really bad ones too, but there wasn't enough good play in there to over come it. Tilted off over 1k of FTPs right after KK was cracked by junk on 2 tables at the same time. I did release another $20 off by biggest bonus too. So I got $60 worked off the bonus of the $200 total. Still got another 2 weeks left on it but not making it a priority. I am doing the take2 bonus this month and that works out good because there are still a few ring game challenges I have still yet to finish. I got a week of cardrunners this week and really unsure which cardrunners or stox I want to buy a few months of. I think I may buy card runners and get stox free through trulyfreepokertraining.com. i'll be playing more SNGs this week and reviewing them to look for reaccuring leaks in my game. I'm hoping to move upto the $5.25 either this week or next. Until next week.

$1,083.78, 1.80T$, 14,351.86FTPs, 27,842APs, 12,442,480 playchips. I got $60 of the $200 biggest bonus worked off I should get another $40 or so by the deadline. I've been doing the take2 and should be able to get the $50 bonus too. I did a week at cardrunners.com but think I liked the stoxpoker.com better. So I'll be spending my FTPs for 3 months of stox. Going to try to complete a few more challenges this week. I'm also hoping to have won enough to take a shot at 5nl by the end of this month too. Well until next week.

seriously man, you dont need $1000< to play 5nl----thats 200 buyins which is way loads i think you should play 5 if not 10nl with a BR that big. I play 10nl with 600 as BR and if i went down to 300 id play 5nl and if i went down to 100 id play 2nl .. godforbid this happens but i cant see myself going from 600-0.

have confidence and take a shot, goodluck

I wasn't a winning player before I started this challenge. And am still learning how to play and win consistantly at ring games. I've had some success at 2nl but have been crushed at 5nl. I'm trying to work my way up and learn "cheaper" at the lower limits before moving up. Although I do feel that this time I will be able to beat 5nl I'm going by the BR policy I've set. For me this challenge is more focused on a good BR management policy than making money. As well as learning all I can on how to improve my game as I move to higher stakes.

$1,115.06, 1.10T$, 15,401.61FTPs, 29,927APs, 14,030,980 playchips. Nothing too exciting this week. Still trying to complete these academy challenges. I'm hoping to have 2 more done(10x) this week. The SNGs are going good and so is the 2nl. I got $80 of my $200 bonus I just couldn't keep up the pace to work it all off. I'm more concerned with learning than getting a bonus. I have however got $25 of the take2 bonus so far and am shooting for the whole $50. Hope to be playing 5nl by the end of the month and maybe the $5.25 SNGs as well. I know I got a good amount of cash now but although I'm counting bonuses toward the challenge I'm not counting them toward my BR. See you next week.
