Online Poker Forum - 50000 Person FTOPS XIV Warm Up - How long will it last?

Assuming all 50,000 seats are taken does anyone have any idea how to estimate the likely duration of this tournament in terms of how long it will take to make the money/final table/win?

Would like to take part but I fear those of us in a Euro time zone with work commitments on Monday may have to put aside their dreams of glory as I imagine there will still be hundreds of people left by breakfast time the next day Shocked

Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated because I don't want to get several hours into the tournament, realise that its likely to go on for several hours more and have to give up to go to sleep/work.

With 50K people , count in , 3 hours for moneyz , 8 hours for serious money , 14 hours for FT , 15 hours for the win

Naught. Should run just like the record breaker did. That took about 4 hours to make into the money and was an eventual crapshoot. But if you do make it to the final table, I'm pretty sure you could safely skip the day of work.

I would plan on a long night & morning to run deep / FT.
No work the next day if you FT / TID...IMHO.... Wink

I registered for this then totally forgot and by the time I loged on I had only 450 chips left Sad

I dont think it would have lasted that long - after barely 2 hours 20,000 players were already out......
